Halloween Safety Tips You Might Not Think Of

It’s that time again when trick-or-treaters will be out, searching for costume, and testing driver's awareness. Here are some tips to help you drive safe on Halloween night.

Safety Tips

  • Only drive if necessary. Do business before, or after Halloween. If you must drive, be aware of trick-or-treaters.
  • Wait for kids crossing the road to reach the curb before proceeding. Kids are unpredictable and could stop unexpectedly.
  • Be wary of parked cars. They could be dropping off or picking up kids.
  • Drive five miles under the speed limit in residential areas.
  • Stay off the phone. On Halloween night and every other night.

Halloween is one of the top three days that pedestrian-involved accidents occur, resulting in injuries and fatalities. Don’t be the one responsible. Drive safely so you and your community can have a happy Halloween.
