Step-By-Step of Ford’s BlueCruise

Just follow these simple steps to set up BlueCruise and take your driving to the next level:

  • Step 1: Download the FordPass App onto your smartphone and add your vehicle by entering the vehicle identification number (VIN).
  • Step 2: Activate FordPass Connect® on your vehicle’s center screen display.
  • Step 3: Turn on the Lane Centering with Hands-free feature and enable activation prompts in your vehicle's center screen display.
  • Step 4: For BlueCruise versions 1.2 or later, toggle on In-Lane Repositioning and Lane Change Assist to access the complete suite of BlueCruise features.
Activating BlueCruise

Follow these simple steps to activate BlueCruise:

  • Step 1: Activate the Adaptive Cruise Control by pressing the button on your steering wheel.
  • Step 2: Make sure the lane-keeping system is engaged. Press the lane assist button on your steering wheel if the icon is not displayed on your instrument cluster.
  • Step 3: As you enter the hands-free Blue Zone, your instrument panel will turn blue, and you will see the icon appear. This is your signal to start your hands-free driving experience.
Deactivating BlueCruise

When you're ready to regain control of your vehicle, simply push the adaptive cruise control, brake, or Lane Assist buttons to disable BlueCruise.
